DSE Announces Cayuga Sportsman Series

Reputed Canadian automotive repair shop and engine builders D.S.E. (David Stirk Enterprises – Brampton ON) has announced a new Sportsman Drag Racing Series.  Their inaugural season will offer up an exciting 10-event series at Cayuga Dragway –Toronto Motorsports Park for 2012….

DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series has released its 2012 Championship series  schedule featuring  ten races over five weekends for this summer.

TorontoMotorsportsPark in Cayuga Ontario will once again be the host for the DSE Sportsman racing series which held three non-points races in 2011. The Inaugural point’s season will consist of five weekends, featuring five sportsman bracket racing classes competing for points titles. Champions will be crowned in Super Pro, Modified, Super Bike and Sled and Street Eliminator, with a JR Dragster class being offered for the future stars of the sport to compete in.  As well non points classes such as Super Gas and Quick 12 will be run at select events.

The DSE Sportsman Racing Series will start the season off June 9^th and 10^th at TMP with two points races, one Saturday and another Sunday, from there the next weekend will be June 30^th-July 1^st Canada day weekend.

Point’s races number five and six will take place just under a month later on July 28^th and 29^th. With a four week break, racers can gear up for the run to the championship as the next two events will take place September 1^st and 2^nd  on Labour day weekend and the  Championship Finals taking place  two weeks later on September 15^th and 16^th .

“I really feel this is a great schedule that will give our racers a chance to compete in a fun and exciting series without feeling the pressure of having to commit every weekend all summer to chasing a championship” said DSE SRS director Andrew Stirk. “Having our schedule set is great, we are looking to make announcements on the series purses, championships purses and advertising partners in the near future,” he added.

 About the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series

The DSE Sportsman Racing series was created at the end of the 2011 racing season as a way to promote grassroots level sportsman drag racing inSouthern Ontario. The series features five championship sportsman classes ranging from Super Pro and Modified ET, to Super Bike and Sled, Street Eliminator and JR Dragster that pays back 100% of the racer entry fee.

Based  primarily out of Southern Ontario, DSE SRS has drawn participants from as far as Quebec, and New York State. DSE SRS is dedicated to creating a competitive series for sportsman level drag racers to participate in that is fun and cost effective  while still providing an excellent racing program for fans and spectators to enjoy.
