A Quarter-Mile Corral – Thank You!

DragRaceCanada would like to thank everyone who participated and helped out to make our inaugural “Quarter-Mile Corral” effort a success during last weekend’s Canadian Motorsports Expo held in Toronto…..

A very special thanks to some great Canadian racing teams who went the extra mile to come and display their awesome machinery during that very nasty mid-winter cold snap.

Jeff and Jim Roth brought in their show-stopping ’41 Willys PMRA Pro Mod car from Kitchener, Spiro Kontos along with rising star driver Cassie Simonton displayed the KonRodz Racing Chevy Monte Carlo TAFC and Toronto’s Gus Mantas was the toast of drag racing purists with his new potential ridden SS/AH Hemi Barracuda.

We also want to thank everyone at Inside Track Magazine who made us feel welcome. We worked closely with Inside Track to help give the Canadian Motorsports Expo it’s first ever serious blast of drag racing machinery.

“It was way cool to see drag racing content at the show,” commented Inside Track’s Managing Editor and CME Show co-organizer,  David Weber.  “Hopefully we can make it even bigger and better next year.”

DragRaceCanada would also like to take this opportunity to offer congratulations to Edmonton’s Tim Boychuk who was selected by the readers of Inside Track as their Top Drag Racer of 2010 during their Readers Choice Awards.  Tim, who edged out Ken Webster and Shawn Cowie in the final ballot, was on hand at the Quarter-Mile Corral prior to accepting his award later on Saturday night.
