Castrol Raceway Confirms 2011 Rocky Mountain Nitro Jam Line-up

Castrol Raceway’s President and Operations Manager Rob Reeves today announced the line-up for the IHRA’s largest, most attended event: the 2011 Rocky Mountain Nitro Jam Nationals…..

“We’re once again pleased to bring racing fans the best drag racing in North America for three days this summer,” said Reeves.

In addition to perennial fan favourites, this year’s event will include the return of AA/Fuel Altereds and the Cool Bus. Plus for the first time in Canada, Monster Jam superstar Grave Digger will race a Jet Truck down the ¼ mile in a race that’s sure to delight both young and old alike.

Top Fuel DragstersFeaturing Bruce Litton, Bobby Lagana and others. Undeniably the stars of the show, Top Fuel Dragsters provide spectators heart-pounding racing action like no other. Top Fuel dragsters are the fastest category of drag racers, with the fastest competitors reaching speeds of 330 mph and finishing quarter mile runs in less than 4.5 seconds!

AA/Fuel Altereds – Featuring the legendary Rat Trap and Nanook. The Classic Fuel Altered is and has always been the most exciting Nitro racecar running. In their heyday of the 1970’s, there were over 30 of these bad boys putting on guardrail to guardrail shows every week. Now there are only a dozen of these legendary oldies left, most being run by the original families and crews.
