CMDRA Lands at Northern Lights Raceway

The Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association entertained race fans in Northern British Columbia on August 23rd and 24th when it brought its 2014 National Points Series to Fort St. John’s Northern Lights Raceway….

Local racer, Burke Forster dominated the Blackjack’s Roadhouse Pro Modified class, qualifying first overall and clinching the win with a personal best ET of 6.842 seconds and the weekends fastest MPH of 191.89. The win, which was Forster’s first CMDRA trophy at his home track, moved him into first place in the 2014 season point standings. Fellow Fort St. John resident, Bruce Romak, took home top honours in the Hot Harley class.

Meanwhile, Jeff Pitre, of Yellowknife, claimed victory in Screamin’ Eagle V-Rod Destroyer for the second consecutive event and also won the Screamin’ Eagle Stock XL class, setting up championship battles in these tightly contested classes with only two races remaining in the 2014 season.
