PCCN Calgary’s Mission Statement:
Our objective is to assist and support patients, families and friends by informing, empathizing and reassuring men on their journey with prostate cancer. By sharing our experiences with our own cancer we lift our spirits and strengthen our resolve to fight for quality of life and a cure.

Professional Drag Racing reaches the exact demographic that must hear this message. Prostate cancer is a very serious issue for all men, as one out of every seven men during their lifetime will be diagnosed with some form of prostate cancer. Early detection is as simple as a blood test during a routine check up with your primary care physician or urologist. In 2013, 26,500 new cases of the disease will be diagnosed. The key for these men is detecting the disease in its early stages when treatment has a 95% success rate.
Drag Racing enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see the Dark Side/PCCN Calgary Top Fuel Dragster up close and personal at Calgary and area Show & Shines and racing events throughout the summer. We hope you will stop by and say hi!

June 30 PCCN Calgary Show & Shine
Held annually for the past four years, PCCN Calgary’s Show and Shine Car show is a popular event attracting hundreds of cars and thousands of spectators. Grey Eagle Casino is the location of this event held in the first week of July. Watch the PCCN Calgary site for information about the 5th annual event in 2013. This will be the 20th anniversary of our support group and the biggest and best car show in Calgary!
July 28 Rides and Rods
Come on out to Rides ‘n’ Rods 2013! The event will take place on Sunday, July 28 from 10 am to 3 pm. Vehicle move-in starts at 9 am. This year it will be much larger and feature all types of cars, trucks and motorcycles stretching down Edmonton Tr. from 41 Ave to 38 Ave NE and around the back on 3A St. The entire event will cover an eightblock area and is sponsored by 20 businesses on the strip.
