The final rounds for season race #3 for the 2016 Napa/Autopro USDRS have been deferred…..

Cayuga Dragway at Toronto Motorsports Park presented it’s annual Haldimand County Community Weekend event last weekend.

That event featured the return to the track for a 2nd time this month of the Napa/Auto Pro Ultimate Showdown Drag Racing Series. This race was presented in a 1/8th mile format — for the first time ever in the USDRS.

Racing was however not concluded on Sunday evening. After determining all final round pairings for the four feature categories – Pro Modified, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster and Outlaw 10.5 – a decision was made to cease the event due to an apparent looming threat for bad weather.

All of the event champions for Race #3 will now be determined at the next scheduled USDRS event  (Race #4) the Stratford Day Spectacular – coming August 5-7th – at Grand Bend Motorplex.

The final round for the Shelbornne Fuels Pro Mod class will feature two first time finalists – team cars raced by Melanie Salemi and Mike Stawicki – in a battle of their Buffalo area G-Force built supercharged cars.

The Strickland’s Top Sportsman championship round will feature two Canadian drivers with Joe McCormick’s Mustang set to race Ian Hill’s Camaro and the Nick & Dan’s Top Dragster final will pair off Kyle Harris’s supercharged ’32 Bantum v.s. New York state’s Billy Leber and his dragster.

The Outlaw 10.5 final will be a Canada versus USA affair with Stratford’s Spencer Hyde racing his supercharged Camaro against Devine’s Pennsylvania-based  turbocharged Mustang.

Kyle Harris will try to win his first ever USDRS T/D title with his cool '32 Bantam.
