Canada’s all motorcycle CMDRA circuit touched down at BC’s Eagle Motorplex last weekend…..
The penultimate round of the 2015 CMDRA National Points series brought forward intense competition at the Eagle Motorplex in Ashcroft BC on August 22nd and 23rd as racers competed for critical points in their pursuit of championships.
Despite challenging track conditions, a full field of bikes in the Screamin’ Eagle Pro Dragster continued to provide the nitro methane powered V-Twin racing action that fans have come to expect from the series premier class. Despite a rare mechanical failure which left Edmonton’s Al Miles unable to run in the finals against Rod Anderson, who made the trip to Ashcroft from Washington State, Miles secured enough points to substantially increase his lead in the season standings as he looks towards a successful title defense and his sixth CMDRA Pro Dragster Championship.
In the other Pro classes, Gary Christopher of Hope BC, narrowly moved into first place in the BlackJacks Roadhouse Pro Mod class, while Calgary’s Ethan Barkley won his second Pro Street race of the year to extend his points lead in the quest for a fifteenth national CMDRA title.
Full results from the High Desert Nationals are available on the CMDRA website. The CMDRA will wrap up the 2015 season at Medicine Hat’s MHDRA Drag Strip on September 19th and 20th.
