Exciting Growth for Ultimate Showdown Series

Year Two of existence for Eastern Canada’s USDRS will feature significant expansion…

Eastern Canada’s NAPA Autopro Ultimate Showdowns Drag Racing Series (USDS) will feature five major races an will expand it’s competition classes from 3 to 5 during this upcoming 2016 season.

That class expansion will include competition for the uber popular Outlaw 10.5 class will be an added for select events.

The new class features door cars racing in a heads-up, first to the finish line format. Outlaw 10.5 will be contested at three of the five USDS events in 2016; the Canadian Nitro Nationals (July 1-3), Mid-Summer Madness (July 23-24), and the Stratford Spectacular (August 5-6).

“We are very excited for this announcement, being able to further enhance the series with the support of the Outlaw 10.5 Association and Nick Agostino is a huge achievement.” Brent Edmonstone, Director of Operations.

The Outlaw 10.5 class in USDS competition will replace the Canadian Outlaw 10.5 Association. “When we started the Outlaw 10.5 Association, our goals were no different than Ultimate Showdowns goals, to promote fun, organized, family friendly events in front of large crowds. I’m very proud of what we have accomplished, but it’s time for us to join a professional series and take Canadian Outlaw 10.5 events to the next level.” Nick Agostino, Outlaw 10.5 World Record Holder.

Agostino has also joined the Board of Directors of the Ultimate Showdowns as the Outlaw 10.5 class representative. “Nick has run the Canadian Outlaw 10.5 Association the same way he races his car, with passion, attention to detail, and honesty. We look forward to continuing his vision and are thrilled to become the new home for Outlaw 10.5 racing in Canada.” Steve Martin, Series Director.

Also new for 2016, the previously announced class called Top Eliminator, an all run fast bracket class that will mirror the rules of Top Sportsman and Top Dragster. This class ensures every competitor will have a chance to race for a guaranteed purse. Along with new classes, the USDS also announced the creation of its own safety crew, comprised of professionals with extensive experience in Motorsports safety.
