Exclusive Off-Season Sneak Preview!

Manitoba’s Chris Mondor is primed to take a major step up in 2013 and DragRaceCanada has an exclusive early sneak peak…..

Mondor, who most recently campaigned a very cool and supercharged ’53 Corvette Top Sportsman/Quick 8 car, has traded in that ride in for an all new G-Force Race Cars built Pro Mod quality Camaro.

The Mondor Motorsports 1969 Camaro, which features a double chromoly frame and Cynergy Ultra Light carbon fiber body, nears completion at Jim Salemi’s Buffalo-area G-Force Race Car facility.  In the near future the engine program (a supercharged 520 CID Hemi with all state-of-the-art components) will be lowered into the frame rails.

Chris reports that his project has already received very valued technical support from a number of resources including Ken Murray (Ken’s Kustom Auto Machine), Jon Salemi (Resolution Racing Services), Jim Salemi (G-Force Race Cars), Jeremy Everist ( Brad Anderson Enterprises) & Tim McAmis ( McAmis Race Cars).

Chris’ father and mother (Alex and Lois) and close friend Dan Jefkins will round out the new team’s upcoming racing effort.

Chris reports that initially he will race the car within the NHRA Top Sportsman class before trying his hand in the Pro Mod class at select Midwestern Canadian and American drag strips.  But prior to that, the racing public may very well be afforded its first public viewing of the car during the World of Wheels car show scheduled in Winnipeg April 5-7th.

The team is actively seeking marketing and sponsorship partners.
