Following the race everyone enjoyed an awesome dinner of Smoked brisket,Sue’s baked beans, Paul’s Ceasar salad, Coleslaw & Macaroni salad, plus the Dessert trays. ( Thank you to Chris, Pauline, Tim, Aaron, Kim and Greg for serving).
Sunday was the BIG $$ day and the competition was fierce as 266 racers went after the money. When it was all done;
Performance Unlimited TOP ET saw John Pizzo cut a light and run the number to defeat Ed Smith.
Maple City Tire MOD ET saw a perennial favourite in Big $ races, Will Steckly, win over Dan McDonald. It was close on the tree, but Will ran closer to the dial (Dan made his way to final by winning his way back in through the lottery – that was a good $10 investment).
Super Bike/Sled was won by Rick Wagner, as Ian Washington’s button malfunctioned and he left before the tree. (Rick got back into the race and eventually the final -thru the lottery when Ian gave him his lottery ticket)
Paquette & Assoc. STREET ET was won by Greg Marsh (a double winner this weekend) over Greg Roy. He had a .008 light and never looked back.
Leaf Racewear JUNIOR 13-17 was won by Luke Schwemler over Meghan Bonnett. Veloce Italian Kitchen JUNIOR 8-12 was won by Wyatt Henderson over Chase Brown. Then in the class runoff sponsored by Expert Auto Glass Luke was the winner .
In Rocksedge/Veloche Italian Kitchen EXTREME 32 – Kevin Knight took the win over Shawn McFalls. There was only 4 thousands difference at the tree but Kevin ran closer to his dial.
