Some more recent and important news tidbits from within Canada’s thriving drag racing scene….

Big news from yesterday at the NHRA AAA Auto Club Finals includes Edmonton’s Don St. Arnaud leading the pack after round #1 of TAD class qualifying. Don continues to own Pomona Raceway from a performance perspective — and showed that again with a titanic top end speed of 285.83 mph – a new national record and simply put – the fastest speed ever in TAD on our particular planet = Wa Wa Wee Wa!

During last week’s NHRA LODRS event held in Las Vegas — the Pro Fuel Winner was Quinn Olson from St. Albert AB. Quinn ran his best time of the weekend aboard his Gasoline Alley HD-backed machine in the final round at 7.423 secs to beat Arizona’s Bill Bentz for the event title.

Luc Angers (from Laval PQ) who is regarded as one of Canada’s most proficient Top Sportsman class racers was an overall season series points champion within the thriving Napa/AutoPro USDRS for Eastern Canada. Luc’s super consistent GTO tallied 917 season points to best 57 other entries in that series’ demanding Top Sportsman/Top Dragster combo class chase.
