Prolific Western Canadian Sportsman racer Mike Shannon won in Super Comp at the Boise LODRS

At Firebird Raceway’s (Boise Idaho) marquee annual Napa Auto Parts Ignitor-sponsored event two B.C.-based dragster drivers emerged victorious…….Mike Shannon (Kelowna) scored in the Super Comp class category and defending 2014 NHRA Division 6 champ Dan Provost (Abbotsford) won Top Dragster for the second year in a row.   The LODRS event also featured two other Canadian finalists with Dale Giroux (Canyon Creek AB) taking his B/AA Camaro to the Competition eliminator final and Dave Toth riding his Medicine Hat Alberta based bike to a Sportsman Motorcycle runner-up placing……

Last weekend’s “Showdown at Sundown” LODRS race at Pennsylvania’s fabulous Maple Grove Raceway saw Mark Proulx score in Super Street driving his truly classic ’65 Comet based out of Osgoode ON……Jeff Veale (from Stoney Creek ON) just missed the event’s TAD championship – falling to Duane Shields in the all-injected nitro final round……and Rina Duncanson (from Acton ON) was also a runner-up in the event’s Pro Stock Snowmobile division…..
