Napa-Sponsored Q32 2013 Schedule Confirmed
The Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts has announced its racing schedule for the 2013 series for Top Dragster & Top Sportsman racers….
There will be six weekend events at several drag racing facilities. The 2013 season will be the fifth for the Quick 32 Sportsman Series.
The Quick 32 Sportsman Series is comprised of the Top Dragster and Top Sportsman classes of 16 entries which compete against themselves in Sportsman-style competition, and the winner of the Top Dragster and Top Sportsman are pitted together with the winner taking the event title.Racing begins May 10-11 at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin Michigan, an event that was won by Top Dragster driver Jeff Moser of Bamberg, Ontario last year.
The Cayuga Dragway at Toronto Motorsports Park will be the scene of the Victoria Day Weekend Challenge, to be held May 17-19, a race that was won by the Top Sportsman entry of Dan Aitken Jr of Belle River, Ontario. Then the teams return to Cayuga June 21-23 for the South Coast Community Weekend, which was won in 2012 by Top Dragster driver Michael Hinbest of Orangeville, Ontario.
The fourth event will also take place at Cayuga during the track’s popular Canadian Nitro Nationals July 12-14. Winning this race last year was Moser, his second of the season.
Then it’s off to the Grand Bend Motorplex August 9-11 for the Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals presented by Ideal Supply & NAPA Auto Parts, an event won by Melanie Simmons of Orillia, Ontario and her Top Dragster.The final race of the 2013 season will also be held at Grand Bend, the long-running “Thunder by the Beach” weekend August 30-31 and September 1. Winner of this race last year was Hinbest, also his second of the season, which solidified the Hinbest Racing team of Michael Hinbest and Katie Ward as champions for the season.
The Quick 32 Sportsman Series www.Quick32.ca will compete at all these events in conjunction with its companion series, the Pro Modified Racing Association, www.PMRA.ca, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series www.PBSS.ca, providing an exciting, colorful, and complete show of the best in drag racing action.
