Nemeth Throws Down Nostalgia FC Gauntlet

A rather major development within Canada’s Nostalgia Funny Car class has a new car and strategy for Chilliwack BC’s Tim Nemeth.   Tim had his all new nostalgia Firebird at Mission Raceway last weekend.   Now testing and calling his own shots — Nemeth reportedly ran the quickest 1/8-mile ever in the class on Friday — at 3.62 secs.  Then his last test run produced  one of the quickest ever times in the class — a 5.63 secs while actually slowing to 247 mph with torched pistons.   Tim’s awesome new car is more aerodynamic and some 100 lbs lighter than the old Mustang.  The whole scenario has already thrown some extra interest for a much-anticipated battle for Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car eliminator superority during Mission’s big NHRA Heritage Series race attraction coming in July!  Be There!  (Photo by:  Gerry Frechette )
