The Ultimate Showdown Series, presented by NAPA Auto Parts/Ideal Supply, featuring the regions quickest and fastest drag race cars has announced it will be offering possibly the highest payouts Pro Modified, Top Sportsman and Top Dragster competitors have ever seen…
For the 2015 racing season, Pro Modified competitors in an 8 car qualified field will race for $7,000 to the event winner, $2,500 to runner-up, $1,500 to the semis, and $1,000 for making it to the first round. Qualifiers 9-12 will also receive $250.00. Entry fees for Pro Modified competitors will be $300 per race, plus an annual membership fee of $100.
Top Sportsman and Top Dragster entries in a 32 car qualified format will compete in individual 16 car fields with the winning dragster racing the winning door car for $10,000 and the runner-up getting $3,000. Top Dragster and Top Sportsman Class finalists will receive $1,500, making it to the semis earns $1,000 and winning the first round earns $500. A Championship Points program has also been established for both classes, more details will be released at a later date once they have been finalized. Entry fees for TS/TD competitors will be $500 per race, plus an annual membership fee of $100.
“Our goal for this series is to provide a fun, organized, family friendly atmosphere; where people can race for higher payouts. I feel that we have more than accomplished this when you look at our payout structure, and the races we will be running at.” Steve Martin, Series Director.
A Series meeting has also been announced for Saturday, January 17, 1:00 p.m., at the Best Western Cairn Croft Hotel, on Lundy’s Lane in beautiful Niagara Falls, Ontario. This site was selected for its convenience to both Canadian and American competitors. This meeting is open to everyone interested in the new racing Series, drivers, crew members, and sponsors as well.
The meeting will provide detailed information on class rules, points program structure, event organization and the future vision of the Series.
