Alberta’s Barry Daniluk had a superb run in Top Sportsman taking the Red Deer-based Chevy to the “final four” in the category.
Transplanted Canadian Danny Rowe qualified #1 and set Low ET in Pro Mod.
Wally Stelmach towed all the way from Winnipeg for the Norwalk event but was a first round casualty in TD.
Sean Bellemeur got his 2nd national event start as driver for the KonRodz Racing TAFC and qualified very strong #3 at 5.592 secs
Whitby’s Eric Latino qualified the GESI/Quality Plus Compressors car #11 but lost on a holeshot in round one of PM competition.
Venice Perno entered his high-flying ’10 Mustang SS/CS and advanced to the 2nd round in Super Stock
Stoney Creek’s Jeff Veale qualified #15 – but was dealt out in round #1 by Bill Reichart
Bob Park (Dundas ON) entered his great looking GT/GA Camaro – but lost out in round #2
Paul Noakes qualified with a decent 5.776 secs but lost out in round #1 to Tony Bartone
Kenny Lang backs up after his burnout. The Manitoba racer got in the PM field on the bump – and lost to Rowe in round one
It was a bit of shock that Jim Bell’s usually strong running Camaro was a DNQ at Norwalk! His best run was 6.139 secs.
Tyler Scott (from Exeter ON) made his national event debut driving Larry Dobbs’ car but his 6.233 fell well short of the 5.910 TAFC bump
