Nostalgia Invasion at GBM This Weekend!

The largest Nostalgia racing weekend in the country is coming up this weekend at Grand Bend Motorplex….

It is all about Nostalgia this weekend at Grand Bend Motorplex as the Ontario Nostalgia Drag Racing Association invades the facility. The ONDR program provides classes for race cars that are from 1974 and earlier. We will see a large contingent of Gassers, Front Engine Dragsters, Altereds and more some of which we only see once a year! Also this year we have added 2 GBM Classic classes for race cars from 1975 thru 1987, so everything going down the track will be at least 25 years old.

In addition to what is happening on the track, a great car show hosted by members of the Sarnia Street machines will take place in the pits. If you come to GBM in a car that is 25 years or older the driver of that car will get in for FREE ! We are also doing a tribute to Grand Bend Dragway on the Saturday, from when it all started in 1964, we have a tent with displays, etc from that era, and we will have some of the original people who started the strip in attendance, plus some of the drivers from that era, etc.

If you have memorabilia from that era that you would like to add to the display, please bring them along (we will have security manning the tent on Saturday).
