OSCA Crowns Season Champions

For some competitors it would come down to the last race of the season to decide the class Champions. The points have been tallied and Champions have been crowned for the 2013 Season of the Ontario Street Car Association….
.
A great showing for EZ Street this season would see the Turbocharged 89 Mustang of George Tserbis come out on top as the 2013 Champion. An impressive performance at the last race of the year solidified his Championship after defeating the gorgeous ProCharged Firebird of Chris Fernandes and Matt Glassford in the finals. Glassford would ran a stout 7.56 at 192mph in the first round but unfortunately would strike the tires at the 60′ mark ending his hopes of the win as Tserbis ran 7.67 at a slowing 169 mph.
George Tserbis qualified #1 with a 7.50 then won the event and became 2013 EZ Street Champion.

Matt Searle of Ancaster, ON., would lose first round at the last race of the season but he had accumulated enough points to take the Championship in Street Eliminator. Tony Nicoletti would defeat Chris Damovski in the finals of the last race putting him solidly into the #2 spot in Championship points.

Competitors in King of the Street Bikes were certainly flying the last two events of the season. 8.30’s would be the order of the day as Mickey Dinnoo would go into the finals after running 8.36 and would face John Poretti who laid down an equally impressive 8.38 to make his way to the final dance. Poretti would ride out a monster wheelie as Dinnoo went straight down broadway to take the event win which would put him into the #3 spot in points. JP Calandra stayed consitent throughout the season and passes in the 8.30 range proved the bike had what it takes as he nailed down the 2013 KOTS Championship title.
