PMRA Reveals 2013 Schedule – Includes Return to Quebec

PMRA sets 2013 schedule with eight feature race dates including a return to the province of Quebec after five years….

The Pro Modified Racing Association is pleased to announce its  racing schedule for the 2013 season, and is also pleased to announce an additional and new event next year.
 
The upcoming season will be the ninth for the PMRA Pro Modifieds. And for the first time in its history, the PMRA will present eight races over its season with the addition of an inaugural event in Quebec.
 
The PMRA starts off at Martin, Michigan May 10-11 at US 131 Motorsports Park, a race that was won last year by Jack Grainy of North Tonawanda, New York.
 
The next event will be the long-standing Victoria Day Weekend Challenge May 17-19 at the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park. Jeff Roth of New Dundee, Ontario won this event in 2012.
 
Then the PMRA returns to Quebec for its first appearance at the eighth-mile ICAR drag strip at Circuit ICAR in Mirabel, Quebec June 15-16. The PMRA has raced at the dragstrips of Luskville (2005) and Sanair (2006-2008) in Quebec in the past.
 
The teams head back to Cayuga June 21-23 for the South Coast Community Weekend, a race won by Jay Santos of Halton Hills, Ontario, last year. The fifth race on the card will be held during the popular Canadian Nitro Nationals at Cayuga July 12-14, which was won by three-time PMRA champ Bruce Boland of Hamilton, Ontario last season.
 
The PMRA will once again take part in the IHRA Nitro Jam Nationals, to be held July 19-21 at the Grand Bend Motorplex. Present PMRA champion Eric Latino of Whitby, Ontario won this race last season.
 
Next on the card is the Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals presented by Ideal Supply & NAPA Auto Parts August 9-11 at Grand Bend, which was won by Sam Andreacchi of Toronto, Ontario last season. The final race of 2013 will be the long-running “Thunder by the Beach” event August 30-31 and September 1 at Grand Bend. Latino also won this event in 2012.
 
The Quick 32 Sportsman Series and the PBSS will compete at all of the above events except the races at ICAR in Quebec and the IHRA Nitro Jam event at Grand Bend.
 
The PMRA www.PMRA.ca, races in conjunction with its companion series, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts www.Quick32.ca, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products www.PBSS.ca throughout the year, presenting an exciting and colorful package of drag racing action.
