Some of Canada’s most skilled drag racers were on hand for both the Jegs All Stars and Lucas Oil Route 66 Nationals event competition last weekend at Joliet……
Jason Kenny (shown with parents Al & Carol at top) represented NHRA Division One in both Super Comp and Super Gas for the Jegs All Stars.
What can you say about Alberta’s Mike Williams – who won it all in the gruelling Top Sportsman tournament on Sunday!
Regrettably — Dan Provost’s team from Abbotsford BC did have a tough go at Joliet when some rather major engine damage set back their T/D event objectives.
Invaders from the West! From left to right thats Jegs All Stars qualifiers – Clarence Bidniak, Eddy Plaizier, Mike Williams, Mike Shannon & Dan Provost
Edmonton’s Clarence Bidniak raced his super cool B/SA Roadrunner in
Stock eliminator.
Victoria’s Ed Hutchison (with wife Lori) and crew man Jerry Carlton took the event’s Excellent in Engineering award.
Stalwart racer Mike Shannon (from Kelowna BC) raced in both S/G and Super Comp at Joliet.
What are the odds? Round one of the Jegs All Stars pitted two Canadians with Jason Kenny facing Eddy Plaizier!
After going to the semi-final round in T/D last week at Norwalk – Al Kenny fell in round #2 at Chicago.
DragRaceCanada always appreciates this type of support back!
