Simmons Salemi Starts 2014 with a Top Ten

 Ontario’s Melanie Simmons Salemi received some special recognition from one of drag racing’s most popular magazines recently……

Melanie Simmons Salemi recently adorned the pages of one of Drag Racing’s most popular print and online magazines, Drag Illustrated (www.dragillustrated.com). Melanie was chosen as one of 2014’s hottest female Racers. That Hot is referring to both on and off the track! Melanie stated, It is a huge honor to be in this issue of Drag Illustrated.

To flip the pages and see all of the other female racers that I’m included with in this issue is just awesome. For one to be in the same light as them is an accomplishment and secondly to know that females in racing are really making a name for themselves on all levels of racing is a great factor as well. I’m just really fortunate to have the opportunities that I do. It’s a total win, win situation for my team and all of my marketing partners.

Simmons Salemi will start off the 2014 with a new engine combination that will provide quicker and faster performances to stay atop the Top Dragster fields she competes in. Along with some pre season testing at Maryland International Raceway the Toyrific Racing team will venture out and compete within some NHRA Top Dragster fields in 2014. Simmons Salemi says, “Our focus will still be with the Quick 32 Sportsman Series but I’m looking forward to the Lucas Oil Divisional at Norwalk in May and the NHRA National at Norwalk in July. It’s something my team and I have been striving for over the last couple of seasons. I feel confident we can do well on a national level”.

Simmons Salemi hopes to better her great 2013 season throughout 2014 and on.
