TNT 10.90 Series Increases Payouts
TNT Super Series Increases Payouts for 10.90 Sportsman Racers in 2012 – Winner, runner-up AND round money all higher this year!
Going into its sixth season, the Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series is very excited to announce increases in its payout structure.
According to Ted Barnes, TNTSS Director, the new system will put more money back into the hands of the racers. “We’re going to a standard formula with the amount for a winner and runner-up that goes up at certain thresholds. Round money increases too… by $10 to $40 per round and still pays from a first round win as always!”
Car Count | 0-23 | 24-34 | 35-39 | 40-47 | 48-54 | 55+ |
WIN | $600 | $700 | $800 | $900 | $1000 | $1100 |
R/U | $250 | $300 | $350 | $400 | $450 | $500 |
Round $ | $40 | $40 | $40 | $40 | $40 | $40 |
The new structure will start with $600/win for any field up to 23 cars. Then it increases to $700/win at 24 cars, $800/win at 35 cars and so on.
“These changes will allow us to make the $700 payout with as few as 24 cars…something we couldn’t do in past years.” To help make all of this possible, racer entry fee is also up by $10 to $60 per event. “With more round money, most competitors will see the entry fee increase come back to them many times over,” added Ted.
“This is the third time that racer payouts have increased since the TNTSS began in 2006 and only the first time racer entry has gone up. We’re very fortunate to have sponsor support that allows us to pay back more than 100% of the entry fee collected at each and every race.”

About the Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series (TNTSS):
Since it began in 2006, the TNT Super Series has grown into one of the strongest, most competitive sportsman drag racing series in North America and has catapulted many competitors to success on the national and divisional stages.
The TNTSS is a self-governing organization with input from its teams. Based on NHRA’s Super Street & IHRA’s Hot Rod classes, competitors run on a 10.90 index in the 1/4 mile (7.00 in the 1/8 mile) and race for a guaranteed purse that pays back more than 100% of the racer’s entry fees. The yearend points fund pays the top five finishers and the Series Champion receives a prize package worth over $3500.00.
The TNTSS is committed to providing the highest level of competition backed by solid media support to showcase its participants across North America. Events are contested at various drag racing facilities in southern Ontario and western New York and put on a spectacular show for the drag racing fan.
