A super successful Eastern Canadian-based index series offers increased payouts and more events for 12th season…
Officials with the Niagara Falls-based area Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series are very excited to announce big changes for the series as it enters its 12th season in 2018. The payout structure is getting a boost along with the event schedule.
Each race will now pay $1000 to win GUARANTEED – regardless of car count – AND the round money will be increased from $40 to $75 per round with payouts starting as always with a second round win.
The 2018 schedule will see 14 races – The most ever for the extremely competitive sportsman series. Actually 15 races if you include the REVS Full Throttle Powersports RACE OF CHAMPIONS. “This many races will make the points chase very interesting as the season progresses,” said Ted Barnes, Director of Operations for the TNTSS. The series is well known for putting the racer first and this is just another example of that.
Also this year at the banquet – Racers in the points will get to choose from the prize table IN THE ORDER OF THEIR FINISHING POSITION in the points.
“We tried this in 2017 and it went very well. We gave away almost 30 prize packages worth on average about $180 to each racer at the banquet.”
With these changes comes an increase to the entry fee. It will now be $100 for a tech card. But the points registration fee is dropping to only $50. There is also a change for those using co-drivers. It will now cost an additional $25 to do that.
“With the recent changes impacting sportsman racing, Joe Boniferro and I felt it was time to enhance things and make the TNTSS even better. The $1000 minimum is long overdue and the round money changes mean if you win second round, you are getting at least $150!”
The season kicks off on Memorial Day weekend and doesn’t stop until mid-September.
