Western Canada is an inhospitable place to try to run a Top Fuel dragster, however that has not undermined some long time determination  for the Darkside Racing team…….

For the Calgary, Alberta based Top Fuel team, the off-season is definitely not a time for some rest and relaxation. This is when team owners, David, Kelly and Nikolas Fedorowich work hard to continually market their racing program with their quest and goal being to represent Canada within drag racing’s ultimate class category.  At the same time the team devotes a lot of energy to an important cause they also feel strongly about ; to raise awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer.

For the past couple of years Darkside Racing (www.darkside.ca) has been a major proponent for Prostaid Calgary/PCCN by raising awareness and spreading information at numerous events they attend through the year, everything from Show & Shines to exhibition races. That support continues in 2015 including during this weekend’s World of Wheels in Calgary Alberta (Feb 20-22). Their appearance there will include some special prize draws provided by Lift King, Jonathan Yakey/Matco Tools and The Grey Eagle Resort & Casino.

Racing is obviously in the blood of this dedicated family, David being a veteran and his wife Kelly working by his side. Ever since their son Nikolas took his first steps at a hotel room many seasons ago during a race in Reading, PA., while they were on the east coast circuit, they have continued to work hard on their vision for campaigning a Top Fuel car successfully in Western Canada. So their other plans for 2015 include a continuation along the licensing path for both Kelly and Nikolas.
