Another pack of quality Canadian cars descended to the fabled Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals — and we have a photo highlight package for that!….

Shawn Cowie (from B.C.) came extremely close to winning drag racing’s ultimate prize – placing runner-up in TAD!

Eastern Canadian Super Stock racing veteran Ollie Stephan (Scarborough ON) entered his SS/BA ’71 Corvette at Indy – and qualified at -.894 secs

With the iconic Indy tower in the background – Whitby’s Eric Latino leaves the starting line during Pro Mod qualifying. He ran a superb 5.859 secs to qualify #8

One of the bigger stories at Indy was the first time entry for a Canadian Pro Stock Motorcycle – driven by Kristen Ashby (from Medicine Hat AB). (DragRaceCanada will have a feature on this team – coming soon!)

Ken Perry’s best run of the event came in round one at 5.346 secs – but unfortunately for him — it came with a foul start versus Mia Tedesco.

Shane Molinari – driving the BC-based Pro Mod Firebird built by and co-owned by RH Racecars (Ryan Hinrichsen & Justin Bond) ran a best of 5.964 secs – but was a DNQ.

Ken Mostowich and his partner Charlie Marsh once again made the long tow from Calgary to Indy for the US Nationals to race both their S/C Camaro and S/G Corvette.

Mark and Wendall Howes (from New Brunswick) both qualified their cars for the Mopar Hemi Challenge event. Wendall had a great 8.487 secs ET in round one – but lost on a red-light.

Brian Oakes (also from the Maritimes) raced the former John Armstrong SS/BA Camaro at Indy and went to the 3rd round in eliminations.

Brian Browell who relocated from Southern Ontario to Indiana many years ago remains a serious contender in Comp eliminator with his cool V-6 D/Dragster.

DeWinton Alberta’s Rob Blair entered his uber fast FSS/B 2012 Mustang in Super Stock – and won his first round.

Jeff Perley (originally from Ottawa) remains a huge part of brain thrust behind the multi-car J&A Services drag racing team.

Corrine and Brian MacMillian brought their show quality Chevy Camaro to Indy from Ajax Ontario for Super Gas competition.

Edmonton’s Jim Bell once again give the NHRA J&A Services Pro Mod eliminator a go with his turbocharged Camaro – but his best run of 5.984 secs missed the record quick 16-car field.
