New Brunswick’s Howes Racing had a superb runner-up finish in the 14th annual Mopar Hemi Challenge for SS/AH class cars

Steve Pohill (London ON) was the only Canadian based car entered in Comp – he took his H/EA Ford powered car to the 2nd round

Jim Bell (from Edmonton) had another good run in his Pro Mod Camaro – qualifying 14th before a red-light foul took him out in round #1

Manitoba’s Kenny Lang was a rather shocking DNQ in Pro Mod – his best run of 6.107 fell short of the 5.995 secs bump.

Eddy Bryck – from the Eastern part of the GTA had a nice event effort in Super Gas – winning two rounds.

Toronto’s Gus Mantas ran well in the Mopar Hemi Challenge – qualifying with a swift 8.676 secs and advancing to the 2nd round in the elite competition.

That’s car owners Spiro and Stefan Kontos under the famous Indy arches! Their driver Sean Bellemeur qualified their TAFC #14.

Sean Gaffney’s Ottawa based SS/G Nova had some impressive launches off the starting line.

Mark Martino made his much anticipated debut in Pro Mod – but his best effort in the Al Billes owned Corvette was short of the 16-car field.

Canadian TAD star Shawn Cowie (Delta BC) qualified #12 at 5.392 secs but lost out in a close match to eventual winner Chris Demke in the 2nd frame.

Eric Latino came heart breaking-ly close to qualifying at Indy’s mega tough Pro Mod program – his 5.998 secs missed by a scant .003 of a second.

Canadian Pro Mod tuning guru Al Billes had his touch on a number of cars at Indy – including that of runner-up Pete Farber.
