VP Racing Fuels Continues Indy E.T. Series Backing
VP Racing Fuels will continue their long standing sponsorship of the VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series at Lucas Oil Raceway in 2014. An assortment of VP Racing Fuels will be available to racers for purchase at the track throughout the race season…..
The VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series showcases the NHRA Summit Racing Series categories including Super Pro, Pro ET, Sportsman and Super Pro Bike as well as the NHRA Summit Junior Drag Racing League. Junior dragster competition is comprised of two classes, Junior Major and Junior Minor, the latter of which is targeted to younger drivers ages eight and nine years old.
Racers compete in a season-long points program to determine who represents Team Lucas Oil Raceway at the NHRA Summit Series ET Finals at Lucas Oil Raceway, September 12-14, 2014. Racers are also competing to win the track championship where they are honored for their accomplishments at the annual Lucas Oil Raceway Awards Banquet. Super Pro, Pro ET, Sportsman and Super Pro Bike class champions will each be awarded a complimentary five-gallon pale of VP Racing Fuel at the Awards Banquet.
Junior Major and Junior Minor racers are also competing in a season-long points program as part of the VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series. Like the NHRA Summit Racing Series classes, the Junior Dragster drivers are also contending for track championships. Drivers can represent Team Lucas Oil Raceway in the NHRA Easter Conference Finals at Bristol, Tennessee, July 24-26, 2014. The top point earners in the 8-9, 10-12, and 13-17-year-old age groups can also represent Lucas Oil Raceway in the Race of Champions at the NHRA North Central Division Jr. Championships at Lyons Raceway Park, September 6-7, 2014.
“Having personally raced in these programs as a racer myself, I know how important the VP Racing Fuels ET Bracket Series is to our local racers,” said Randy Simpson, General Manager of Lucas Oil Raceway. “We’re thrilled to have VP Racing Fuels continue their support of the ET Bracket Series. Sportsman racers are the backbone of NHRA drag racing and we’re excited to welcome them back to Lucas Oil Raceway for the start of the 2014 season.

About Lucas Oil Raceway:
One of five drag racing facilities owned and operated by the National Hot Rod Association, Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis was built in 1960 and has presented organized racing events since 1961. From March through October, the facility hosts more than 120 dates of racing on three tracks, a quarter-mile drag strip, a .686-mile paved oval and a 2.5-mile road course. Home to drag racing’s biggest event, the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals over Labor Day weekend, the drag strip runs more than 80 days of point-to-point action, from national events to street legal community programs. The oval track draws racing’s biggest events, including USAC, ARCA and other sanctioning bodies. The road course provides a home for several racing sanctions, while providing an ideal resource for driving schools, corporate outings and open-road tests for professional drivers.
