“Steve and I worked side by side, me on the VP rig and Stevie on the World Wide truck, for probably 15 years on the NHRA National and Divisional level,” said Jim Kelly, VP’s Regional Manager for Eastern North America. “He’s a very well known, well respected member of the performance aftermarket business. I’ve wanted Steve as part of the VP team for some time and I’m glad the stars have finally aligned for him to join us.”

LeSueur is looking forward to getting back in contact with the many race teams, engine builders, track operators and sanctioning bodies with whom he worked during nearly 40 years of involvement in race fuels. “This opportunity with VP brings me back to my roots,” said LeSueur, whose family has been involved in East Coast racing since the early ‘50s. “I was involved in race fuels on the East Coast starting in the late ‘70s, when the idea of ‘race fuel’ was in its infancy. I’m excited to be back in a position to help racers make power and go fast.”

“In servicing customers, Steve will team with Freddie Turza from our R&D/Tech Support staff. With their expertise and the strong reputation VP has for making maximum power not just on the dyno but at the track – where it matters most – I anticipate big things from the sales team,” Kelly added.Anyone wanting to connect with Steve can contact him at 302.685.3119 or steve.lesueur@vpracingfuels.com.

VP Racing Fuels is the Official Racing Fuel of NHRA Championship Drag Racing, American Le Mans, AMA Supercross, World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and Late Models, among more than 60 VP-sponsored series and sanctioning bodies.

When You Want Max Power, Pull Your “45”!

VP Racing Fuels today introduced “C45™,” a leaded fuel blend offering the best performance in naturally aspirated drag race engines on the planet, according to Jason Rueckert, VP’s Regional Manager-Midwest. “In a test on a 565 inch BBC, our Q16 race fuel made an average of 1,015 HP,” said Rueckert.  “After switching to C45 and adding 4 percent more fuel, it picked up 18 HP over Q16.  Since nobody else can kick Q16’s butt for All Motor, we had to do it ourselves!”

“C45 is designed strictly for All Motor applications, meaning naturally aspirated engines,” Rueckert added. “It’s oxygenated and when tuned properly, will handle up to 16:1 compression. It will not handle boost or nitrous.  With its 100 motor octane rating, pulling a couple degrees of timing at first to be safe is recommended.  It will require approximately 4 to 6 percent more fuel than VP’s Q16 so a purpose-built carburetor will most likely be in order.”

“In the hands of a knowledgeable tuner,” Rueckert concluded, “C45 cannot be beat for power and torque.”

Technical questions about C45 can be directed to VP’s Tech Support staff at 812-878-2025 or DragTech@vpracingfuels.com.
