Western Champ is Lost

DRC-Kondolay

Everyone at DragRaceCanada joins the Canadian drag racing community in mourning the loss of prolific British Columbia-based Sportsman racer Stefan Kondolay.

Stefan lost his life in tragic and suspicious circumstances on July 10th – the victim of an apparent homicide at his Chilliwack BC home.  He was only 31 years old.

Stefan will be remembered as one of the most ferocious, focused and versatile Sportsman racers from Western Canada who seemed to excel in any race car he chose to drive.   Kondolay won NHRA Division 6 titles X5 during his career and in fact placed 2nd in the world in NHRA to fellow Canadian Al Kenny for the 2012 Lucas Oil World Championship (in Super Comp) – losing that title by a mere 22 points.

DragRaceCanada offers it’s condolences to the family, friends and associates of Stefan Kondolay.
