Boland Looks to Bounce Back in PMRA
After a testing incident just prior to the Victoria Day Weekend event – Hamilton’s Bruce Boland will have car and team will be ready for the next round of PMRA action during the South Coast Community Weekend June 21-23 at the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park….

.
The new car is a 1953 Corvette-bodied Pro Modified with a supercharged engine courtesy of Engine Research & Development. After competing with the former 1941 Willys for two seasons, the B&B Racing Team believes it has the proper combination in the new Corvette for the next race.
.
Boland, a three-time PMRA champion and a competitor in the popular drag race series since its inception in 2004, also leads the series with 10 event victories, and would like to add to that total in 2013. He presently sits fourth in series points for this season.
.
The ERD engine in the Corvette is brand new, he said, and it makes lots of power. When we get it all sorted out, we plan to get back into the hunt.
.
Team members include Dennis Veillette, Brad Short, Ron Pierce and Roger Jongerden, and sponsorship is provided by Backwoods Excavating & Float Service, Excel Motorsports, Pro Racing Fuels, NGK Spark Plugs, A&A Auto Parts, and Double D Construction.
.
The June 21-23 race will be round three for the PMRA this year. Rocky Di Lecce of Mississauga, Ontario leads in the Championship Point Award Series right now, followed by Jay Santos of Halton Hills, Ontario, and Jack Grainy of North Tonawanda, New York.
.
The PMRA’s two companion series, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and the Pro Bike & Sled Series will also be competing at this upcoming event. At present Top Dragster driver Billy White of Gadshill, Ontario leads the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and Pro Bike rider Dan Cryderman of Thamesville, Ontario heads up the PBSS.
