Following a very successful 19th consecutive season – Ontario’s Can-Am Stock/Super Stock series recently held their annual Championship celebration…

The Can-Am Stock / Super Stock series celebrated the conclusion of their 2015 season with a banquet at the Michelangelo Events and Conference Centre, in Hamilton Ontario.

The night was an elegant and flawless affair, befitting of the caliber of the members and competition that has come to typify the series. Members and their guests were treated to a beautiful venue, a superb meal, great entertainment, and fantastic prizes and awards, in celebration of their continued dedication and participation in our great sport of Drag racing.

The nights focus was of course on 2015’s Champion, Chuck Nagy. Chuck concluded his season of great successes on the track by delivering a very humble and heartfelt address to his fellow racers. He echoed the thoughts of everyone in attendance by first and foremost thanking the series sponsors, many of whom have been long time supporters, and reminding those in attendance, that without their support, there would not be as strong a Can-Am Series as we enjoy today. Chuck also urged all the racers in attendance to make every effort to support the “ _ HRA Races”, that we have locally. Reminding everyone that, “ without our support, we wont have these races anymore”.

Special thanks and recognition goes out to the volunteers who worked hard all year to keep our races running and making our banquet happen, Dan and Lynn Velenosi, Tony and Anne Marie Valerio, Rob and Amanda Becker, Fred and Betsy Smith. A safe and healthy winter to everyone in the Can-Am family. Work hard on your cars, enjoy the bench races with friends, and find someone to bring to the races next season. Keep our sport growing.
