The first of two IHRA national event races for Canada in 2015 happens next week at Ontario’s Grand Bend Motorplex……

The International Hot Rod Association’s (IHRA) Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series will head north to Grand Bend, Ontario for the 15th consecutive year on June 26 – 28. The Mopar Nationals will once again place the U.S.A. against Canada in a battle to take home the coveted Iron Man trophy at Grand Bend Motorplex.

The three-day event features drag racing action in six professional categories, 10 sportsman categories and marks the return of the Crower Pro Mods after a multi-year absence from the Mopar Nationals. In addition, four Top Fuel dragsters will compete in an epic competition between the U.S.A. and Canada as Bruce Litton and Dominic Lagana (U.S.A.) go up against Bob Leverich and Paton Family Racing (Canada). Litton will make the move from his “US Male” AMSOIL Nitro Funny Car presented by Aeromotive to the familiar seat of his Top Fuel dragster next weekend.

Tim Boychuk

Canadian-born, Tim Boychuk and his “Happy Hour” AMSOIL Nitro Funny Car presented by Aeromotive returns home to take on his U.S.A. competitors during the Mopar Nationals. Boychuk has been a regular in the IHRA since the late 2000s and currently sits third in the point standings prior to the President’s Cup Nationals Fueled by Sunoco this weekend.
