Toronto native Jeff Arend got his 2014 season off to a very fast and positive start with a number of 4.0 elapsed times driving the awesome looking Jim Dunn Racing Mooneyes/Grime Boss Dodge
Delta’s BC’s Shawn Cowie looked strong in qualifying before a rather surprising holeshot loss in round one of TAD.
Dale Giroux (from Canyon Creek AB) was the only Canadian entered in Comp at Pomona. Dale Q #11 before losing out on a red-light to eventual winner Mike DePalma
Greg Hunter had a pretty good run in his debut driving Geoff Goodwin’s TAFC. Greg narrowly lost out to eventual class winner Brian Hough in round number one: 5.674 secs to 5.689 secs.
Regina’s Abe Loewen – who has enjoyed great success at Pomona over the years – lost out in round #3 of Super Stock.
Norm Lapointe (from Sherwood Park AB) entered two cars at Pomona. His very cool GT/CA Cobalt qualified #27 in SS with a -.737 secs sub index effort.
