Opportunity is really knocking for Ontario’s drag racing fans this weekend with two major events on tap!!……

The 2015 feature event drag racing season within the province of Ontario will hit it’s pinnacle this coming Labour Day weekend with significant events at both Grand Bend Motorplex and Cayuga Dragway.

At Grand Bend Motorplex — the 3rd and final event for the budding new Napa/Autopro Ultimate Showdown Drag Racing Series will be presented. That event will once again feature ferocious action in Pro Mod complimented by lucrative payouts for Top Sportsman and Top Dragster racers.

All eyes will be on Robbie Atchison’s London-based Pro Mod Corvette team to see if they can complete an undefeated season for the USDRS — after winning their first two events.

Grand Bend’s annual “Thunder by the Beach” event (presented by Teamsters Canada Local 879) will also include some exhibition runs by Nitro Nostalgia and Jet powered Funny Cars.

At Cayuga Dragway — four of Ontario’s most popular drag racing series will be featured including the NDRA’s Alcohol Funny Cars, the Ontario Street Car Association, the DSE Sportsman Series as well as the Can-Am Stock/Super Stockers.

In addition to the headlining NDRA “Canadian FC Championship” circuit final, a very unique and all Canadian Jet car dragster feature will be on the schedule. That will pair off Lou “Brazil Nut” Pereira in the “Terminator” versus non other then Cayuga Dragway’s own Neale Armstrong – who will make his much anticipated debut driving his all new “Northern Warrior” Jet Car.
