TNT Super Series Releases 2014 Schedule

Popular Can-Am sportsman drag racing series for 10.90 index cars enters it’s 8th season…….

The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series is gearing up for its eighth season and has released its 2014 event schedule.   Known as the most competitive sportsman series in the country, the 2014 TNTSS will host events at four different racetracks in western New York and southern Ontario.

Since it began in 2006, the TNTSS has seen many of its competitors have success on the divisional and national event stages.  Series Director, Ted Barnes says that is a result of the series running at various facilities.  “We hit at least four or five different tracks in any one season, some we run 1/8th mile and some we run 1/4 mile.  That forces these teams to be competitive under lots of different conditions.  To win a championship in the Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series, you have to be able to adapt.  Getting lucky is just not an option.”

Steve’s Electric powers the season opener on Memorial Day weekend as the TNTSS rolls into Elegant Builders Raceway Park (EBRP) in Lancaster, New York on Friday May 23rd for what is always extremely tight 1/8th mile racing.  Then Saturday, the series will join Empire Dragway’s 1/8 Mile Shoot-Out on Saturday May 24th in Leicester, New York.TNTSS-300px

Dilts Piston Hydraulics takes the TNTSS into Cayuga Dragway at Toronto Motorsports Park on June 7-8th for some Canadian 1/4 mile action.

Then it’s the second of three US double-headers and back over to EBRP for the Jan-Cen Motorsports race on Friday July 18th and then to Empire’s 1/4 mile for the Autos Direct of Buffalo event on Saturday July 19th.

Next stop is St Thomas Raceway Park in Sparta, Ontario for a Canadian 1/8th mile double on Saturday September 30th and Sunday September 31st.

And for the season finale, Sam LoVetro Automotive returns the TNTSS state-side to EBRP on Friday September 12th and to Empire on Saturday September 13th.

“We put a lot of work into creating a schedule that works for the competitors,” added Ted.  “With every event being a double, the racers can keep travel costs down.”
