DragRaceCanada has received a few inquiries — and we now have confirmation that Top Fuel racing will be “a happening thing” again this summer for Canada…..

While the IHRA has officially dropped the Top Fuel class as a official eliminator — we can reveal officially that both of the IHRA’s highly entertaining Mopar Canadian Nitro Jam National events this summer in Canada will include “long and loud” cars.

Thanks to the continued vision and innovation by Rob Reeves (at Edmonton’s Castrol Raceway) and Paul Spriet (at Grand Bend Motorplex) – both those events will be supplemented by 4-car Top Fuel fields – much to the applause of the Canadian racing public.

At Grand Bend’s Mopar Nationals (June 26-28th) the line-up of participants will be, Canadian favourite son Todd Paton (driving the Paton Racing dragster), Indiana’s Bruce Litton, New York’s “Team Lagana” fielded by Bobby or Dom and the Michigan-based TF dragster owned by Bob Leverich (driver TBA).

Then three weeks later at Edmonton’s Mopar Rocky Mountains (July 17-19th) the Amalie-sponsored dragster driven by Florida’s Terry McMillan will headline along with American’s Bruce Litton and class newcomer Jenna Haddock. In an exciting development, the Calgary-based “Dark Side Racing” TF dragster owned by Dave and Kelly Fedorowich, will make it’s first ever Rocky Mountain Nationals appearance, to round out that field of cars.

And in a footnote — once again the independent Canadian Nitro Nationals at Cayuga this summer (July 10-12) will also include a Top Fuel match race — however at this time the exact racer participants are TBA.  DragRaceCanada will post more details on that in the near future.
