Motorcycle Mecca Coming to Grand Bend!

Looking to do something very special and different for your gear head Daddy this coming Fathers Day? Ontario’s Grand Bend Motorplex has a very interesting option to consider…

An extremely wide variety of drag bikes will invade Grand Bend Motorplex over Fathers Day weekend.

The weekend of June 14-15th will see a rather incredible invasion of motorcycles of all shapes and sizes to the facility which will play host to a truly serious broadband for motorcycle enthusiasts.

Not only will fans be able to witness a terrific field of drag bikes, the price of admission will also include road racing motorcycles and a super serious “motorcycles only” manufactures midway.

For the last 18 seasons Grand Bend Motorplex has played host to versions of what now has evolved into Canada’s largest all Motorcycle drag racing event.   The 2014 version promises to continue that notion.

By combing it’s highly reputed local racing program with official CMDRA (Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association) class categories for this particular event, attending fans will witness truly comprehensive motorcycle drag racing.  That menu will feature all brands (North American and Import) and range from the highest echelon 230 mph Nitro Harley to entry level E.T. Bracket classes.

Grand Bend Motorplex’s nearby (on premises) road course will the same weekend, have a parallel major S.O.A.R. (Southern Ontario Association of Racers) event that will feature and include Super Bike machines.

“We are offering racing fans a unique opportunity to see the world’s fastest motorcycles — Nitro Harley on the drag strip and Super Bike on the road course – all under one tent,” revealed Ron Biekx, the GM of Grand Bend Motorplex. “We are so proud our event has been the biggest all bike racing weekend within Canada for close to two decades. That’s because — simply put — we offer that much more to watch.”

Expectations are that the highly anticipated event will attract between 250-300 race teams in total.

The list of event sponsors is already impressive too with valued support from and including, Rocky’s Harley Davidson/Buell, Lucas Oil Canada, Hully Gully (London’s largest Motorcycle Dealership) & PartsCanada.

Those companies and many other associated vendors will be offering to the public a wide variety of the latest in motorcycles as well as components, technology products and accessories within the event’s extensive manufactures midway.
