“Anarchy at the Arch” Title to Bell

Bell1

Edmonton’s Jim Bell and the JB Power Centre Racing team earned a rather lucrative purse during last night’s final round conclusion to the PSCA’s inaugural Anarchy at the Arch event held at St. Louis.  Jim drove his turbocharged ’69 Camaro to a win in the event’s Hughes Performance Pro Mod eliminator when he hit a final round 5.920 secs at 234.45 mph to defeat #1 event qualifier Kevin Fiscus.

Jim’s win included impressive consecutive laps of 5.959 and 5.957 secs while winning in rounds one and two.   The victory came over what was unfortunately and surprisingly a very poorly attended event from a racer perspective with only 5 cars in total entered for a planned 16-car eliminator.

That reality however should take nothing away from Jim’s individual performance which was fast and consistent.  It was Bell’s 2nd career Pro Mod class win – complimenting a XDRL circuit event win last season.
