Prominent Canadian-based Quick 32 Sportsman teams set to attend Western NY State feature events…..
Several Canadian Top Dragster and Top Sportsman teams have signed up to compete at Empire Dragway in the coming weeks, as part of the NEOPMA Challenges at the Western New York dragstrip.
Several of these teams are competitors in the Ontario-based Quick 32 Sportsman Series and will compete at Empire Dragway, along with racers of the Pro Modified Racing Association (PMRA) and Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Association (NEOPMA) teams.
“Last year we had a few PMRA racers with us at these races,” noted Bruce Mehlenbacher, Director for both the PMRA and Quick 32 Sportsman Series. “Now we have a number of Quick 32 Sportsman Series teams who raced with us in the past and getting back together is great.”
Canadians who have competed in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series in the past and have signed on for the Empire Dragway shows include Stratford’s Kevin and Kayden Wicke, with their Top Sportsman (TS) entry, and Diane Thiffeault of Timmins with her Top Dragster (TD). They will be joined by Tony Positano of North York (TD), Bob Robinson of Stratford (TS), Jeff Gable, also of Stratford (TS), Dave Burchell of Guelph (TS), Wes Goddard, also of Guelph (TS), and Luke DeJong of Puslinch (TS).
There are also more than twenty US-based teams ready to do battle at Empire Dragway.
These Top Dragsters and Top Sportsman entries are scheduled to participate with the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Association (NEOPMA) and the Pro Modified Racing Association (PMRA) at both Empire Dragway/NEOPMA Challenges on June 30-July 1 and August 18-19, 2023.
