A truly nice effort from the Paton Racing Top Fuel car had Ike Maier qualify at 3.937 secs for #15. He ran even quicker (3.920 secs) in round one but lost out to Clay Millican.

Manitoba’s Kenny Lang was the only Canadian car to crack the Pro Mod field. He lost out to Jonathan Gray’s record shattering ET in round #1.

New Brunswick’s Mark Howes entered this interesting new SS/IA class Barracuda at Gainesville. It went .778 under in qualifying.

Tom Orr (from Shawville PQ) went the furtherest in eliminations overall for Canada – placing in the T/D “final four” with his new Undercover-chassied dragster.

Edmonton’s Jim Bell was in recovery mode at Gainesville following a recent crash – his 6.670 best missed the PM class cut.

Jeff Veale’s powerful injected nitro car (from Stoney Creek ON) qualified #8 in TAD with a 5.384 secs – but lost out in round #1

Jason Kenny entered his first ever race in T/D – and qualified #1 at 6.221 secs. He then won two rounds.

After taking about a year off the circuit – Markham’s Ken Perry returned to TAD class racing. He ran a 5.575 secs to make the field.

Eric Latino’s first event of the season produced a surprising DNQ – his 6.029 secs best was #18

Tyler Scott and the Kardiac Kids had another promising event effort. After qualifying #13 – they did run a very strong 5.639 secs while losing in round #1
