We shine the light on Canada’s future inspiring Junior Dragster class ranks for 2020 – recognizing some race series and track champions…

Cayuga Dragway’s thriving season long RCSS produced two first time title winning performances by two  young lady racers : Madisson Zonta and Kiley Hodges.  Kiley, from St. Kits ON (top photo) prevailed for the Speedy Auto Machine-backed Junior chase and Madisson scored top overall honours in the quicker www.660racing.ca (7.90 index) class.   Madisson’s car is 50% part of a very impressive (two-car dragster) Zonta Racing team based from Binbrook ON.

The 2020 points title for Southern Alberta’s MHDRA Junior Dragster “Thunder Class” was claimed by Kiandra Gaetz.  Affectionally known as “Kiwi”, Kiandra, who is 12-years old, is a next in line developing 2nd generation drag racer following in the footsteps for her deep into drag racing family — led by her father Ray (a Super Pro racer) and her two older brothers – Zack and Tanner — who are also hard running racing regulars at Medicine Hat in Super Pro and Pro eliminators.

Also a Junior Dragster MHDRA champ was 17-year old Calum Kestner (from Calgary).  Calum who was a graduate of “Thunder Class” racing won in the quicker paced “Lighting Class” this season.  His father is Allan Kestner who races within Alberta’s Sportsman ET class scene.

Far Eastern Ontario track Luskville Dragway – also featured a young lady Junior Dragster champion in 2020.  Annabelle Soucy – from Gatineau Quebec – won that track’s points championship and it came in what was her first year of competition in the class.  Annabelle is daughter to Super Pro class drag racer – Carl Soucy.

Within Grand Bend Motoplex’s Canadian industry leading “Thunder Series” — the 2020 Junior Dragster titles went to Tyler Trealout and Ethan Burtch.  Tyler (who is from Amherstburg Ontario) scored the Dowler Karn/Esso Fuels title for 13-17 year old racers while Burtch collected in the 7-12 years class bracket racing his “Bounty Hunter” car,

The prestigious Junior Dragster “Lightning” class champion for Castrol Raceway in 2020 went to a Saskatchewan-based racer – Tabatha Hieber (from Martinsville).  Tabatha drove her Spitzer chassis car to the hard fought season title over a vast field of season entries.  Her team received valued support from sponsors Black Diamond Tattoo Club, Ravine Custom Metal, MTM Ltd and Moonlit Signs along the way.

Within the Maxima Racing Oils “Canada – Heads Up” Series held exclusively at St. Thomas Dragway — the overall Junior Dragster champ was Arnold Fox from nearby Dorchester Ontario.  Arnold,  driving his “Jr. Instigator” dragster won two of four events presented last season – racking up 13 round win-lights in total for his dial in class competition.
