Lang Begins Championship Chase This Weekend
Kenny Lang is no stranger to winning World Championships having done it twice on the IHRA trail. He will begin his quest for Pro Mod’s ulitmate prize and his first NHRA World title this weekend….
Kenny Lang (Grande Pointe MB) has done nothing but improve year after year since he first came on to the Pro Modified scene in the late 90’s, including two IHRA championships and last season’s fourth place finish in the NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Pro Care Rx.
With the start of the 2012 season only days away and the strength of his sponsors, including major sponsor Summit Racing Equipment, backing him, Lang has his sights set on one thing, the series championship.
Strengthening Lang’s case for his 2012 championship push is the departure of 2011 series champion Khalid alBalooshi to the Top Fuel ranks, and the return of his entire team from last season, including noted Pro Modified Crew Chief Al Billes.

“We’ve got an opportunity to achieve some great things this year.” Said Lang. “With the renewed support of our sponsors and the fact that we’ve got the same team back from last season gives me a lot of reason to think we can win the championship in 2012.”
