Raymond on the Rebound!

Toronto’s Raymond Commisso has returned to Pro Mod racing action with his rebuilt supercharged Chevy Camaro.  Commisso, who had been out of action since suffering that very scary incident during the ADRL race at Maple Grove last spring, returned to the scene during NHRA’s Midwest Nationals (the ProCare RX event ) at St. Louis late last month.

Ray ran very well at that comeback race — qualifying 8th and hitting best times of 5.968 secs and 248.11 mph.

“Damage to the car was really not as bad as it might have looked,” Ray confirmed.  “We took it to Tim McAmis and he did a perfect job rebuilding the car.   We got the car back in late August but decided not to run it until we were sure everything was right.”

Commisso also reports that he is now armed with the latest new engine program from Al Billes (ABR).  He has plans to close out his 2012 season by running the ADRL race in Dallas followed by the NHRA ProCare RX Series season finale at Las Vegas.
