We have confirmation about a very iconic personality for this summer’s Mopar Rocky Mountain Nationals out at Edmonton…
One of Canada’s longest running major events will celebrate it’s 15th anniversary this summer and the 2019 version Mopar Rocky Mountain Nationals (July 12-14th) will include a true drag racing legend.
The First Lady of Drag Racing herself – Shirley Muldowney — will be in attendance this year and adoring fans will definitely have some opportunity to interact with her.
MOPAR & MULDOWNEY — The event’s primary sponsor — Mopar Canada — will have an exclusive hospitality zone that will include an opportunity to get an up close and personal with Shirley. That experience will see a limited number of tickets on sale and will include:
- Mopar Rocky Mountain Nationals General Admission Pass (Friday)
- Access Mopar Canada’s Exclusive Hospitality Zone
- Chef-prepared meal and snacks
- Complimentary Themed Cocktail (18+ Years)
- Private autograph session with Shirley Muldowney and the Stars of RMN
Walk in Her Shoes — Fans can also take part in a special Sunday morning Mopar Rocky Mountain Nationals Starting Line Party (in support of the YWCA’s ‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’). Within that campaign — in support of domestic violence prevention and recovery programs — fans can walk the drag strip with Shirley Muldowney and some other leading stars of the Mopar Rocky Mountain Nationals and Castrol Raceway Drag Team .
Tickets for that will also be limited — all proceeds from those sales ($10) will be donated to the cause and will include:
- Track access pass for a pre-race Fan Track Walk
- Starting Line access for driver introductions (11:00 AM)
- Exclusive Q&A with NHRA Legend Shirley Muldowney
(In recent times – Shirley Muldowney was part of NHRA’s marquee “Unfinished Business” specialty race which was part of the 50th Anniversary NHRA Gatornationals).
