30 Days Out
The very popular TNT Super Series for 10.90 class cars will begin it’s season in only 30 days…..
The competitors in the toughest sportsman drag racing series in the country have only one month before opening day. The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series will see its most exciting season yet with increased payouts and more contingency postings than ever before. Based on heads-up, 10.90 index racing, the TNTSS will see thirteen races in 2012 – including stops at five different tracks in western New York and southern Ontario.
Opening day is Friday May 4 at Dunn Tire Raceway Park (DTRP) in Lancaster, NY presented by Autos Direct of Buffalo. Then it’s a double-header on Memorial Day weekend thanks to Steve’s Electric with Friday May 25 at DTRP and Saturday May 26 at Empire Dragway in Leicester, NY.
Saturday June 9 and Sunday June 10 sees the cross-border series descend upon Cayuga Dragway at Toronto Motorsports Park (TMP) in Cayuga, Ontario presented by Bieda’s Powersports.
Then it’s back to DTRP for the Scott Jahren Paint event on Friday June 29.
Friday July 20 is one of the highlights of the 2012 season. The TNTSS returns to Grand Bend Motorplex and again joins forces with the IHRA Mopar Nitro Jam Nationals for a $1000/win event thanks to Rosehill Auction House. Joining the TNTSS at The Bend this year will be the Can-Am Stock / Super Stock Series, making this a Friday night you don’t want to miss.
Staying in south-western Ontario, the series then heads to St Thomas Raceway Park in Sparta, Ontario for a double-header on August 4 and August 5 presented by Kevin Orr Mechanical.
Bieda’s Powersports again presents the TNTSS on Saturday September 1 and Sunday September 2 at TMP for its Labor Day Weekend festivities. Included on Saturday night will be the second annual TNTSS Performance Improvements Race of Champions, where the best of the best will race off for the highest purse of any TNTSS event.
Then the TNTSS season will close out back in New York state with another double-header thanks to The Sister Act Band on Friday September 7 at DTRP and Saturday September 8 at Empire Dragway – where the 2012 champion will be crowned.
Celebrating all the successes of 2012 will happen at the yearend awards night, tentatively set for Saturday November 10 in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

About the Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series (TNTSS):
Since it began in 2006, the TNT Super Series has grown into one of the strongest, most competitive sportsman drag racing series in North America and has catapulted many competitors to success on the national and divisional stages.
The TNTSS is a self-governing organization with input from its teams. Based on NHRA’s Super Street & IHRA’s Hot Rod classes, competitors run on a 10.90 index in the 1/4 mile (7.00 in the 1/8 mile) and race for a guaranteed purse that pays back more than 100% of the racer’s entry fees. The yearend points fund pays the top five finishers and the Series Champion receives a prize package worth over $3500.00.
The TNTSS is committed to providing the highest level of competition backed by solid media support to showcase its participants across North America. Events are contested at various drag racing facilities in southern Ontario and western New York and put on a spectacular show for the drag racing fan.
