International Match Race Madness ups the anti at second Canada Heads Up season event…
Canada Heads Up (Presented by Speedwire Systems, Nash Competition Engines, Head Rush Apparel and Miska Trailers) went into the (July 19-20) weekend with not only beautiful weather but with some very exciting event add-ons to the series.
Ian Hill Racing Productions, with support from Miska trailers and Doldo Trucking/ Doldo Racing and Toronto Motorsports Park brought some “Street Outlaws” racers to town! Ryan Martin (Fireball) Shawn Ellington (Murder Nova) and Jeff Lutz were onsite all weekend to meet the fans and lay down the fastest passes they have ever done in their respective cars!

With the stands packed Saturday — some head to head Canada V USA was presented as fans watched local heros Nick Agostino, Mauro Caringi and Paul Coull take on the Outlaws in their mid afternoon on track appearance — all presented on a “NT” basis.
Saturday night saw Ryan Martin take on Shawn, while Jeff ran Paul and Nick took on Mauro. It was an amazing night of match racing and they did it all over again on Sunday. With Sunday afternoon’s track prep being on kill so much so — both Ryan and Shawn conformed they both ran their personal bests!
CHU was in the midst of their Race 2 while the Street Outlaws event was going on and many racers loved the new found attention they were getting from the extra spectators on site!
2024 Super Street Champion Ralph Aulicino found his was back on top of the qualifying charts and took home win, hitting a new personal best in the process with a 4.200! Ralph met fellow big block nitrous competitor Emilio Catalano in the finals.
Nitrous racer Anthony Daversa topped the qualifying sheet in EZ Street and drove all the way into the final round where he met eventual class champion Nick Kokkas and his centrifugal SB combo.
Street275 continues to be the hottest class in CHU and Sue Cooper set the bar in qualifying. Sunday eliminations champion was EJ Gouvier as he took out current points leader Joe Muro in the finals.
Pro Bike saw Jesse Vanbetlehem take the number 1 spot in qualifying with only one hit at the track. Jesse and Brant Ross pulled out of further qualifying rounds to try to give us a show – trying to be the first side-by-side 6 second bike pass on no bar street tire bikes! Local racer Regan Pallet took out Brant Rossi in the Sunday finals.
Stock Wheel Base Bikes was again dominated by Mickey Dinoo. Mickey took top qualifier points as well left Sunday with the class champion big cheque! Mickey met up Todd Sills in the final round.
