Early Bull Rampage!
The Manitoba-based injected nitro TAD owned by Clif Bax and driven by Gord Gingles, had a strong 2013 season debut during NHRA’s Regional LODRS event held at Royal Purple Raceway near Houston last weekend. Gingles, the defending 2012 Central Region champion, took “The Bull” to a runner-up finish at that race losing a very close final round decision to Forrest Fair: 5.340 secs to 5.387 secs. Gingles had entered eliminations after qualifying #2 (5.351 secs) and hit a rather stupendous 276.35 mph terminal speed while winning in round two. Not only was that a career fast for this talented Western Canadian team — according to our records it is second only to Don St. Arnaud’s 276.41 mph at Pomona last November as Canada’s fastest TAD run of all time!
