Hoosier Tire Canada DOUBLES the #1 Qualifier Award in 2011 TNT Super Series….
The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series (TNTSS) is pleased to announce that Hoosier Tire Canada is doubling its commitment to the 10.90 sportsman drag racing series in 2011. The highly coveted prize – given at every TNTSS points event to the #1 qualifier – will be a $100 certificate for use in either their Canadian or US locations.
Hoosier Tire Canada has been supporting the TNTSS since its inception five years ago. “We’re more than happy to increase our support of the TNT series,” said Ron McKay of Hoosier Tire Canada. “These guys are the backbone of the sport of drag racing and we’re proud to be a part of it.”
Achieving the #1 qualifying position at a TNTSS event is no easy task. Most events have multiple racers running dead-on with a zero after only two qualifying sessions. And usually the recipient is determined by thousandths of a second.
Hoosier Tire Canada has locations in St Catharines, Ontario and Niagara Falls, New York. They are the authorized Hoosier Tire distributor for eastern Canada and western New York and provide tires for many different kinds of motorsports – including drag race, oval track, road race, ATV, go-kart and the street rod markets. About the TNT Super Series (TNTSS):
Since it began in 2006, the TNT Super Series has grown into one of the strongest, most competitive sportsman drag racing series in North America and has catapulted many competitors to success on the national and divisional stage.
The TNTSS is a self-governing organization with input from its teams. Based on NHRA’s Super Street & IHRA’s Hot Rod classes, competitors run on a 10.90 index in the 1/4 mile (7.00 in the 1/8 mile) and race for a guaranteed purse that pays back more than 100% of the racer’s entry fees. The yearend Series Champion receives a prize package worth over $3500.00.
The TNTSS is committed to providing the highest level of competition backed by solid media support to showcase its participants across North America. Events are contested at various drag racing facilities in southern Ontario and western New York and put on a spectacular show for the drag racing fan.
