Highlights from within Napierville Dragway’s thriving racing program — a salute to winners….

In addition to a very successful season first round for it’s FuelTech Pro Mod Series (presented by RM Racing Lubricants) – Napierville Dragway’s event last weekend included many other eliminator stories and winning highlights.

Saturday’s program produced wins by Port Perry Ontario’s Brian Clayton in Stock/Super Stock, Dale Gauthier (Kingston ON) in Super Pro and Marco Belanger (Noyan QC) in Semi Pro.

Ontario’s Brian Clayton was most certainly the most dominate car in Stock/Super Stock – rolling his GT-classed Camaro to two event wins!
Marco Belanger raced his very clean Mustang to the Semi Pro title on Saturday.
Dale Gauthier collected a cool $5G with his Belleville based Camaro when he won Saturdays Super Pro feature.

Sunday’s event featured the pursuit for both coveted NHRA Wally’s and also Quebec’s new EDRA (Extreme Drag Racing Series) honours. “Wally’s” were collected by Brian Clayton (Stock/Super Stock), Daniel Barker (Super Pro), and Napierville’s own – Dominic Germain (Semi Pro).

Young gun racer Daniel Barker (from Belleville ON) – part of the very impressive Parkhurst Motors “Bracket Life” team collected a “Wally” for Super Pro on Sunday.

Junior Dragster titles went to Samuel Charrette (Valleyfield QC) on Saturday and Maverick Angers (Laval QC) who notched a win on Sunday.

The race weekend was supplemented with the latest round for the up-and-coming Napierville Dragway 1/8th mile EDRS project – with wins going to Scott Wildgust (Stratford ON) and Michael Bastine (Laval QC) – Pro ET.

For the EDRS — 2021 is it’s first year – offering a 1/8th mile Bracket Racing Format with 4/10ths Pro Tree.

Scott Wildgust notched the first event win for the highly creative new “Smokie’s Garage” multi car team (in development by Mike Clark) – winning the EDRS Heads Up 4.20 class with that team’s potent T/S Camaro.
