A photo highlight “tip of the hat” to all the points champs for the inaugural NHRA Spider Electric Canadian Championship Series….

Prominent Alberta based-TD driver Jason Padd collected the most points overall for the Pro Jet Energy Services TD/TS class. Jason (from Chestermere AB) won 2X during the (best of 5 race) series edging out Calgary’s Dwaine Ringguth in the close final tally.

Driving his highly reliable Olds Achieva, Saskatoon’s Sheldon Erfle parlayed an extremely impressive season start — (winning the first four races consecutively!) into the Spider Electric’s overall Stock/SS points title (Presented by Dietz Construction).

Jason Kendel (from Brooks AB) prevailed in the NHRA Super Street 11.10 index class category with his ’86 Ford Thunderbird. Kendel’s strong placings at his home track – Medicine Hat events (1 win – 1 R/UP) – proved to be the difference.

One of Canada’ highest rated Super Comp class drivers – Ken Mostowich – took the overall title in that class (presented by Big Marble Farms). Ken (from Calgary) and his right hand man Charlie Marsh scored 3 event wins during the summer campaign.

Bill Cawsey (from Regina SK) was the overall series champion for the Super Gas (altitude adjusted 10.10 index) class. Racing his Ford Mustang, Bill was a most consistent runner all season while racking up 3 different event wins.
